Abolish the ATF.
Abolish the Federal gov't at this point and start over.
Start over? The constitution worked for about 150 years. A complete reformation would be excessive.
The crooks need to be convicted of treason, and maybe a few amendments are warranted.
I meant to start over based on the Constitution, how else would you get the states onboard?
As it stands the wolves are in charge of the hen house, they will never police themselves and voting harder won't work. Need I say more?
Abolishing the organization is far too kind. It deserves to be utterly annihilated. The ATF exists solely to infringe on the constitutionally protected rights of the citizens. It's anathema to the principals the country was founded on.

DOD maybe? Some departments sound reasonable on paper, but they are easily corrupted.
DoD was called the War Department in the '40s and before. The title Dep't of Defense is much more innocuose, much less threatening. The US has been instigating war... well, since at least Vietnam, which was ramped up based on a single grainy photograph. Most of these appointees need to be hanged.
