It's important when jews and their pets scream about the 2nd being for muskets and the like.

Complete relevant text;

Some have made the argument, bordering on the frivolous, that only those arms in existence in the 18th century are protected by the Second Amendment. We do not interpret constitutional rights that way. Just as the First Amendment protects modern forms of communications, e.g., Reno v. American Civil Liberties Union, 521 U. S. 844, 849 (1997), and the Fourth Amendment applies to modernforms of search, e.g., Kyllo v. United States, 533 U. S. 27, 35–36 (2001), the Second Amendment extends, prima facie, to all instruments that constitute bearable arms, even those that were not in existence at the time of the founding.

This is the correct sub to inform those of you who are watching the (((gun grabbers))) and their methods. Be educated on the issue at hand.

Even better with the rest of the paragraph as it covers the comparison to the 1st - a common comparison people like to ignore.

Yes it's required reading for anyone who wants to not be a faggot.

Well when you look at current guns vs older guns, most of the advancement in gun tech was done in the 1700s/1800s with John Browning and Colt. So really, even by their flimsy bullshit logic, all guns of today can be traced back to the 1800s. The material may have changed, and some of the design work is somewhat different, and sure, now they decided to charge you 100$ to drill a hole in the barrel because some asshole couldn't check if the chamber was clear or not without racking the gun, but the basic core design of any modern firearm predates the 21st century

So if the left is saying arms in existence in 18th century then why have they "updated" the other amendments as far as technology is involved. Like saying police can't search phone records because phones weren't available in the 18th century.

That is in the text of the post. The Heller decision notes that.
