Misleading title aside, there is so much wrong with this article I couldn't post it in the news subs.

Such as:

The Peach State does not require a waiting period for firearm sales, which means a person may purchase one from a federally licensed gun seller immediately if they pass a background check.

OK. He passed a background check. What's your point?

On Wednesday, Matthew Wilson, a Democratic Georgia state representative, said in a tweet that “in Georgia, it’s easier to buy a gun than it is to vote.”

I missed the news about Georgia requiring ID, proof or residence, and a background check to vote.

Mike Wilensky, another state representative, called for a law that requires a waiting period for gun buyers,

“I have never heard of someone in a rush to get a gun for a safe, good reason,” he said in a tweet.

He's never heard of a victim of domestic violence buying a gun to defend herself? Why does he hate women?

Yes and no. It can certainly take months to get an FID if you are allowed to get one, but the counties have nothing to do with it. The process is handled at the local PD level, unless your town doesn't have its own department. (Then you go to the State Police.) NJ is a 'may issue' state, meaning the local police can reject your application without cause.

Camden is a shithole but it's not the city with the highest crime rate in the US. Last I checked that was Detroit, but I'm not sure anymore.

I tried, it was painful, and crime was still high in the Edison NJ area, Vineland and Camden. Clearly the utopic gun free state does not work to deter gun crime

Agreed. I hate it here and regret the decision to come back, albeit temporarily.

For the longest time, NJ claimed that PA needed more gun control because PA was causing the gun crime. These gun grabbers will never stop to force their bullshit laws down our throats
