If even a handful of gun owners or others who support the RKBA do this then, within 1 yr, the gun laws would be repealed.
They would have no choice IMO politically.
Only takes 1 out of 12 (in a jury of 12) to get this done ... only 8% of the jury to get it done.
I've never been a juror in a gun-related case. The closest I came to nullification was refusing to vote guilty on a petty marijuana possession case when I still lived in NYC. The judge threatened me with contempt and had the bailiff sequester me to give me "a chance to think about my decision" but when that didn't work the case ended in a mistrial. I never found out whether the defendant changes his plea or if they tried him again.
I had that happen to me too ... judgy thought he could strong arm me too ...
I told him I did not care what he said...he went ballistic. I told him he should take a chill pill. Ballistic again. LOL
And, like you, mistrial. I also never looked back to see if they re-tried him or not.
I was unfailingly polite. Didn't raise my voice, didn't make snide remarks. I referred to the judge as Your Honor every time, but I still refused to cave.
I carry my dog-eared copy of with me every time I'm called for jury duty. I'm one of those people who gets called practically every year.
