Ah, there you go... Your pickups don't sound all that growly with the amp settings you were using. They kinda sounded like single-coils. I'm gonna guess that your kit guitar doesn't have coil splitting... Though, it would be great if it did!
No I do not have coil splitting. I have a three way selector, bridge, both and neck pickups. And a volume knob. I did not install a tone knob

Why no tone knob? That's one of the most important knobs in my opinion.
cause on all of my guitars I always just keep the tone knob at 10. It does not sound good to me to turn it down. So when I was assembling this guitar, it only has room in the cavity for two knobs, and it did not come with a switch. In my mind I thought I would get more variety of sounds I like if I put a switch in the hole instead of the tone knob. Or else it would both pickups on all the time.
