LOL There's plenty of man-made snow around. I live within a 30 to 45 minute drive to world-class ski resorts and about 25 minutes to a pretty good ski resort that's in the process of rebuilding their reputation with all new ownership and all new equipment. Give 'em a few years and they'll be famous again.
I moved here not long after I retired. This is my home. People kinda look at me funny when I point out that I live here on purpose.
But, I have all the gear to deal with the cold and snow. I have all the clothing and I have all the mechanical equipment - including a big ol' plow truck and tractor with a heated cab.
You're one of them there Renaissance Men lol.
Done it all. Nice.
LOL I figure it'll be the last truck I buy, so I splurged and got a top of the line Dodge Ram 3500. I also have a broadcast sander in the bed of the truck (for the winter). (The plow and sander get taken off and the truck tows my stuff during the summer.)
It's a pretty comfortable place to be inside the truck. It has all the bells and whistles. It might get driven 5000 miles a year, but that'd be pushing it. It doesn't even have 10k miles on it yet.
Perhaps the best part of living where I live is how remote it is. I'm pretty close to all the people around me, and there aren't that many of them.
Away from people, man that's nice.
I think if I could play guitar like you it's all I'd do.
But everything gets boring if you do it all time.
