Oh man, is that where you live?
Pretty close. It's at a lower elevation, so there's more snow where I am. But, yeah, that's pretty much where I live.
Sadly, we haven't had a very good winter. To me, a good winter is like 20' of snow with drifts twice as high. The snowbanks should be as high as the telephone lines. It should be so cold that going outside hurts (unless you dress for it). It should be rapidly deadly if you're not prepared for the cold.
We've had nothing like that since 2017/2018. We've had mild winters for a while now and I'm pretty disappointed.
(I live here because I love the snow and I love the cold. If it's just me, I'm fine with my house at 62°.)
No man, I hate the cold weather lol.
But I do hear that people like you do exist :)
My kids travel from Houston to ski all the time. It's been a warm winter here.
LOL There's plenty of man-made snow around. I live within a 30 to 45 minute drive to world-class ski resorts and about 25 minutes to a pretty good ski resort that's in the process of rebuilding their reputation with all new ownership and all new equipment. Give 'em a few years and they'll be famous again.
I moved here not long after I retired. This is my home. People kinda look at me funny when I point out that I live here on purpose.
But, I have all the gear to deal with the cold and snow. I have all the clothing and I have all the mechanical equipment - including a big ol' plow truck and tractor with a heated cab.
