For whatever reason, I have a bitch of a timing singing and playing that song at the same time.
I can do it. You won't notice that there's a problem. That's just because I've hammered it into my skull.
It's just the timing of the song that fucks with me.
Man, how bout "Peace Train" with Cat Stevens, or "Like a Rolling Stone" with Dylan, almost impossible to play and sing.
i've never played the former, but i can do Like A Rolling Stong, while singing along. That was another one where repetition mattered.
I was having a bitch of a time doing the picking pattern, I think I might have had too think of a pick so I said fuck it and did it half speed LoL
It's a bitch to pick and sing at the same time. I dunno why... It's just that timing.
I can play complex lead parts and sing at the same time, but that doesn't matter. This one just fucks with my head.
I have a problem singing along with syncopated guitar parts
Yeah, it's that fukcing D chord, four note arpeggio. Four strings instead of five. That really throws everything off. I learned it's better to play the D chord using a C chord barred at the second fret in order to play the five-note apreggio using five strings. It's a hard-ass chord to make though. Or play the D chord while adding the F# (4th str/4th fret) in order to make it a five note arpeggio.
I don't suppose too many folks would notice the difference. So, that'd work.
