It's hard to not like Jethro Tull. I mean, he was such a great artist - and he barely knew what he was doing.

He picked the flute 'cause it wasn't really used in rock - but he'd already decided he was going to be in a band and make music. So, without any real formal training, he just picked it up and started to play.

He claims to be completely sober, but I'm skeptical.

It's a Nyckelharpa. It's pretty darned cool, it has a pile of sympathetic strings under the bowed strings, so it sounds like a whole string section.

The insanity of the last couple of years really took its toll in a lot of ways. I had to replace everyone last year, and oddly enough the only one that stuck around was our part-time drummer. Things are actually looking great for us right now, as we're angling into the market we really want to be in, and at this year's Hawaii festival, we're on the bill with the band that made me start playing this music in the first place. It also looks like we're going to be able to manage a tour in the southern US in the fall. We are tentatively booked to headline a festival in Biloxi, MS in November, and we'll head out from there.
