Once again, it's time for the FNGT!

If you don't know how this works, click this link (fngt.gq). That link will take you to another site to give you some additional information and tell you about some of our off-site features. That's also the site where we will host the weekly guitar threads, should Poal go down.

NOTE: That site is by invitation only. If you want an invite, and you're a regular participant, then just ask theBuddha, or myself.

If you do know what's going on, you probably don't need to click that link - but you may want to, to make sure you know of the other features, such as the archive or a separate forum that's invite only.

Remember, we are guests here on Poal. Let's act like it. If you're interested in supporting Poal, then you can donate.

Hi guys. I spent some time with my new Les Paul-style guitar this week. Her name is Misha. I wrote a song this morning so you can hear what she sounds like.

I'll try listening tomorrow, but it pleases me that you picked up a Chibson Les Paul. I recall you asking about it a couple of times and, well, it appears as though they're really not all that hard to turn into playable guitars.

If you wanted to, they make great mod platforms. Splurge and buy a $100 set of high-output pickups that will just drop in, and you'll be surprised.

Maybe toss a different capacitor at the tone pot...

Put good strings on it...

Maybe an 'intonated' ToM bridge...

Replace the nut with something made of bone, or a hard composite that's just as good...

The list goes on!

Misha has definitely got some growl and crunch to her and it sounds like she likes to get down and dirty. And yest she sings like an angel when she wants to.

She came up with a great song too!

Hell yeah!

Hey. Hey. My. My. Welcome to Insurrection die (day in Aussie)

I don't know why in dafuq this song popped into my mind. Maybe it was cause the dude that quit his popeship kicked the bucket. I read the woke folk hated his guts so I figgered that is a good dude.

Saw this song back in the day on The Last Waltz by The Band. Loved it immediately.

Very nice...and a real crowd-pleaser!

I made this little ditty up the other day and sat down and whipped it out for you all to hear.

I really hope I don't have what you had...

I haven't had to move my bowels yet - but I feel like I could toss my cookies any minute. Beer doesn't appear to be helping, but it doesn't appear to be hurting. Worst case, it'll mean I have something to come up when I puke!

The alcohol should kill the germs, that's what you told me last month!

[–] 0 pt

That is true. A germ can not live in an alcoholic environment!

Here is another little ditty I came up with recently, the Step Back Blues (soundcloud.com)

Ol' Buddha went to a doctor's appointment. He was feeling just fine. But that's where sick people go, so I feel like I'm gonna die.

Have some fuckin' Fur Elise:

Yeah, you've heard it before, but I'm snuggled up in bed with a heating pad - somewhere between shivering and sweating. I'll survive. It takes more than this to kill me.

Man alive that's like the greatest song of all time. Most well known. Gotta be!

Gotta be awesome being able to play Beethoven. I know there is another Beethoven guitar arrangement, Moonlight Sonata. That's gotta be impossible to play. Can you do that one?

Hmm... I thought I already had recorded it, but I'm not seeing it anywhere.

I suspect that, technically, the most well-known song in the world would be some sort of Asian song. They've got a whole lot of people and not a lot of classical music fans.

Actually, it might be our national anthem. People across the globe will have heard The Star Spangled Banner, due to various events like the Olympics or while we were meddling in their politics/sending dignitaries to their part of the globe.

Or maybe We Will Rock You by Queen?

Beautiful!

Thanks. Glad ya liked it.

I'm dog-sick today. I think I have what @crazy had a month ago, though I don't currently have the squirts.

Every bone in my body hurts almost as much as every muscle hurts. I have a fever, a headache, some congestion, and feel like I could vomit at any moment. I hate vomiting, so I'll do everything I can to avoid it.

Sounds like influenza to me. Probably caught it off a gas pump handle, grocery cart, or public restroom door knob. I'm no doctor, but I know doctors.

Thats an old Beethoven classic, sounds beautiful

It's one of my favorite recordings I've made. It sounds well done and polished nicely. I believe I used a combination of mics for that one.
