Once again, it's time for the FNGT!

If you don't know how this works, click this link (fngt.gq). That link will take you to another site to give you some additional information and tell you about some of our off-site features. That's also the site where we will host the weekly guitar threads, should Poal go down.

NOTE: That site is by invitation only. If you want an invite, and you're a regular participant, then just ask theBuddha, or myself.

If you do know what's going on, you probably don't need to click that link - but you may want to, to make sure you know of the other features, such as the archive or a separate forum that's invite only.

Remember, we are guests here on Poal. Let's act like it. If you're interested in supporting Poal, then you can donate.

As far as birthdays go, this one wasn't too bad. I've had the kids together for Christmas, but as far as we can tell this is the first time both kids have been here for my birthday since my daughter left for college. We've barely had all that many Christmases (that's apparently a legitimate word) together since they both became adults. Life has generally been in the way.

So, I have a sad... My daughter is gone. My granddaughter is gone. My son-in-law is gone. I miss 'em already.

On a positive note, they appear to be legitimately considering my offer to set them up in Maine. It wasn't all that cold. The weather wasn't harsh. There was some outages, but that didn't stop us from having fun.

Sounds like you had a great week with your daughter in town. I hope the thought of moving there persists in her mind and she decides to take the leap!

They were here for a little over two weeks, so I guess I can't complain.

But, they may come live up this way. I'm trying to be optimistic. They don't even have to work (of course they would), but I'd support 'em until they found jobs they actually liked. I do know Maine General Medical Center is hiring and I know BIW is hiring engineers.
