Right, that's why I said you keep driving and look for a turn. "Do you keep driving and look for a turn ..."

Turning as soon as they pull up behind you is gonna get 'em to follow you. You might have to maintain for a while and then find a turn that looks good - like pulling into a gas station or a shopping center.

I prefer to get them off my ass when it's reasonable to do so. If it's something like a grocery store or whatnot, I'm gonna get into that lane and pull into the grocery store's parking lot. Not immediately, but maybe a few minutes down the road.

I will DEFINITELY be using cruise control. I will also NOT be driving something that sticks out.

That penalty was bullshit, by the way.
