The G is pretty fun. It's also pretty expensive. It's actually a viable off-road vehicle, with 3 way locking diffs.
Most cars don't have a locking diff. Front wheel drive cars usually have one tire that spins in forward gears and one that spins in reverse.
Some have stuff like posi track where both rear wheels will turn if one is spinning.
Four wheel drive cars lock the front and rear diffs together.
The G will let you lock all four wheels together, so they all get the same amount of powered delivered to them.
Also, there are some that will notice that a wheel is spinning and will apply more power to the wheels that aren't spinning.
The one my friend has doesn't really look like it's made for off road.
It'd be okay on a dirt road with a few bumps and some mud puddles. He'd just have to be careful. I do stuff like that in cars that were never meant to be used that way. Hell, I do that in a 911. I ain't scared.
He's probably not gonna do that. That's why I called it a 'mall crawler'.
I'm sure you could do some off-road stuff in it, but do you really want to? It's really not meant to be used like that.
Me? I'd take it crawling up a mountain just for the challenge. However, I can afford to have my shit extracted - even doing it myself. I do in fact own my own wrecker! (Really, I'd hire someone. I'm not gonna try that and end up fucking something up.)
He has a honda SUV too, I think he would beat on that off road before taking the benz off road
