Speaking of Dahmer...

I've often wondered if I could have been a serial killer. Mostly, I wonder how long I could get away with it before I got caught - though I sometimes wonder what I'd do at the point I was caught.

If you are murdering random strangers you have no connection with I imagine you could get away with it for quite a while

I'd have had to have been smart enough to not leave any DNA at the scene. So, that means no fights, no rape, and no bladed weapons.

(I'm not gonna go become a serial killer, just to be clear about this. I am not even interested in killing anyone. I find the idea horrible - even if I hate them.)

So, no ties with the victim is ABSOLUTELY essential.

I'd also have to be really careful with a phone these days. They can track your location pretty well with a phone. That includes no modern cars with a black box and a GPS. I need to never show up in the investigation. That limits me to firearms and being 100% they're dead.

So, I also would have to avoid any patterns.
