It definitely did. I was a 'prized catch', so to speak.

Sadly for them, I was not even remotely interested in settling down, I wasn't interested in dating any of them long-term. and I wasn't going to commit to a damned thing.

I had a stash of cash in my pocket and a cocktail of drugs in my system. I was pretty much a fucking rock star.

I think the 'Vette needs a new battery. It had issues turning over this morning. It was not greatly improved when I started it again at the gas station. So, the guys are going to test it and throw a new battery in it if that's what it needs. I suppose it could also be a weak alternator. I doubt we'd have one of those on hand, but we definitely can get one today or tomorrow.

Oh yeah, it started.

I was correct. I had 'em check after lunch. It's the battery not holding a good charge. The alternator is mostly fine. Well, it's a bit low on the output side but seems to be fine. It's not something they'll need to replace today. They'll order one and replace it when I send the car back next Monday.

Hell, it's an old-school 350 big block. I can change the alternator myself. Might as well use it as a good excuse to put on a new belt, check the pulleys, and maybe see if the tensioner is wearing out. It's not even a complicated serpentine belt like you get on a modern car. You don't even have to take anything major off to change the belt!

I have now also eaten some lunch.
