They bring 'em up there for photo shoots?

No, to drive 'em. The road's fun and has few cops and little traffic (depending on the time of the year).

You'll even see a smattering of European plates on the road.

They often appear in groups, so I suspect there's some sort of club that brings them over. I've never spoken to any of them, except in passing - to mention the weather or maybe point out a good route they might have missed. I figure they'd tell me if they wanted me to know what they are up to. I'm not a cop, so it's not like it's my business.
