I shared a biggie last week, so obviously I've got nothing new this week!
However, I have something only shared once. It should definitely be shared again.
This was played over a drum track supplied by my amp, I'm pretty sure. It was a demonstration for the missus about the versatility of the bass - including using it as a percussion instrument. I am pretty sure... Pretty sure... I'm not 100% sure where this came from, 'cause I think I was drunk/high when it got recorded. I think... The info about it is largely speculation, but it seems likely so that's what we're going with.
It's called A Masterclass In Bass and the URL is: https://share.fngt.gq/music/originals/A%20Masterclass%20in%20Bass%20%28TB%29.mp3
Gnaw on that for a minute or two.
Damn. I fucking dig that. Fuck I need to go practice.
Glad you liked it. It's not 'perfect' I guess. I mean, I was just fucking around. I'm not actually a bass player, but I've played a lot of bass - both on and off the stage.
The way you not only changed the note but the sound. Is awesome. Im a metalhead. Never was into funk R&B or music that had amazing bass lines.
I've been trying to get slapping down. However, the best I can do is Fieldly from Korn and sound like the album. However, he doesn't play conventionally.
That is definitely a master class!
Damned right! LOL
Also, never claim to be a lawyer, and don't put 'esq' behind your name, and you can even advertise as "legal council".
If my lawyer had lost his license, he'd have been reduced to that or 'legal aide'. He did not lose his license once they found out I intended to testify on his behalf. The argument being that I was influencing him in his diminished state...
I would never do anything like that. I like to stay away from the courts if I can
Funky! It reminds me of the Toejam and Earl soundtrack.
I can see that, though I confess to not knowing what Toejam and Earl are.
I also can't quite place what effects they're using on the bass for that jam. It almost sounds like a bizarre rapid mouth movements of a talk box mixed with a wah pedal... I kinda want to dig around and try to recreate it, but I'm much too lazy for that.
I think it's called an auto-wah or an envelope filter.
