Once again, it's time for the FNGT!

If you don't know how this works, click this link (fngt.gq). That link will take you to another site to give you some additional information and tell you about some of our off-site features. That's also the site where we will host the weekly guitar threads, should Poal go down.

NOTE: That site is by invitation only. If you want an invite, and you're a regular participant, then just ask theBuddha, or myself.

If you do know what's going on, you probably don't need to click that link - but you may want to, to make sure you know of the other features, such as the archive or a separate forum that's invite only.

Remember, we are guests here on Poal. Let's act like it. If you're interested in supporting Poal, then you can donate.

Sure. You said I got it next Friday, right?

I'm reading a long thread on a guitar forum and they're bitching about how one venue asked them to show/provide their insurance.

If you recall my guitar blog, as I was assembling the band, one of the very first things I spoke about was proper insurance - and treating the band like a business.

This is why my band makes the big bucks - and why they survived the pandemic. I taught 'em well, I did I did...

Insurance cant be all that much, can it?

Not even remotely (for event insurance). You can get a full year's worth of 1 mil coverage for anywhere from $200 to $1500, depending on who you go through and what you might want to add on. For about $400 you get replacement insurance for equipment. Anything over 25k won't have a deductible. Liability insurance isn't that bad, though you may need a per-location documentation. Once you've done it for one venue, you can just renew it yearly if you plan on playing there regularly.

It's pretty simple stuff to deal with.

Yeah, I'm gonna go perform with the band next Friday.

So, I might as well get it tonight.
