Nice.
That'd make me smoke, though I'd probably not finish it and would mostly play with it.
Also, shouldn't you be saving your money for your bike and car?!?
It was just given to me, I didn't ask for it or expect it
Even better!
Both Fender and Guitar Center laid off about 100 people each.
3 to 4 months ago, both companies bragged (in multiple industry rags) about making record profits. 2020 and 2021 sold record guitars, across the board.
The fuckers gave the money to me instead of bothering to care about their workers.
(I invest in both companies.)
sucks for those people and their families
I have an absurd idea...
I don't need the money - but I do need the confirmation. It's not about making money, it's about people saying, "Oh, fuck, I love your work."
If I built a few electric guitars (and promised you a retardedly cheap price) would you buy one?
Again, it's not about making money. It's about confirmation. "Yes, I trust you to sell me a product worth buying at the price you charged me."
To keep them affordable, I'm thinking a few hundred bucks per example - meaning I'm gonna be losing a few hundred bucks per example.
I might let some go for the cost of shipping, because it's for validation and not for profit. So, it's like $100 to ship a guitar right now... I'd likely "charge" you enough to cover shipping and an extra dollar to say it's worth it.
I'll charge the rest of these fuckers $1800 each 'cause that guitar was made by me.
of course I would! Put a snake on it!
Yeah...
I'm gonna do it...
I'm gonna start a collection of cheap guitars. But, this is me... I'm gonna buy stuff that's like super rare, even though it was once a cheap guitar. I'm going to make my collection grow with cheap guitars made in Asia and south of the US border.
I'm doing it...
First, I gotta deal with a giant influx of guitars from storage.
