I'm trying to buy one on a forum and am in a 3 way conversation with the seller, someone who doesn't need to be there, and myself.

I'm currently waiting for them to get a black light and snap some pics of the headstock for me.

what is a black light going to tell you

and my battery should have enough charge to turn the engine over now, and I should have fuel spewing from the out hose off of the fuel pump when I turn the engine over, wouldn't you think?

Yes, you should. Maybe your fuel level is too low and it's not being picked up.

A black light will tell me if there's a change in the guitar's finish, indicating a break and repair in the past.
