My Flying V does have a pretty damned old set of strings on them currently. I don't even think they are those cheapo ones, they are probably the super slinky Ernie Balls on that one

Those are still cheap-ish, but they're at least usable for practice.

They were not expensive at all. I think they raised their prices on the 6 packs which led me to find these others that I have now
