Oh, man... With your broken neck? No... No, you probably don't want to try this.
I have street cars that will do all this, but have just plain seat belts. Those will beat you up pretty quickly.
The race seat and harness helps - a lot. It ties your body in with the car, so that only your appendages move. To properly wear your harness, it should be so tight that it's just starting to get painful/difficult to breathe. If a deep breath pushes against the straps and kinda hurts, that's how tight your harness should be.
That's tight!
Quite literally tight!
You should be locked into the car as much as possible. Though, they don't hurt nearly as much as they used to, because you're wearing a HANS device and that covers where the harness goes down over your shoulder bones. (I'm assuming you know what HANS is.)
Plus, watch when they take off their helmets. They're almost as big as the helmets worn by football players, and may actually be bigger in some dimensions. They're now full of electronics, ports for A/C maybe, ports to hook to a drink, and a ton of special padding.
Also, my car for this week is a '70 Cuda (in yellow) and it's a matching numbers beast of a car. I am looking forward to doing burnouts. I'm kinda hoping to attract a potential buyer. I've got enough cars from that era - and this one is all matching so worth a pretty penny, much more than I spent on it.
It does NOT have the 440 "six pack" (three double-barrel carbs). It's just the 340 with the four barrel. I can expect to ask for six figures and then settle for 90k or so.
Nice. Hopefully someone falls in love with her!
