I should point out that they do have batteries to run the computers. I don't think they're hooked to any charging system, however.

Even my Ducati wasn't a true MotoGP bike. Those fuckers are insane. They hit like 16k RPM and 200 MPH.

You would think they could run off of an alternator or magneto to save weight over a battery

Those both sap power from the engine and probably weigh more than a modern battery. Probably...

I mean, I assume they do it for good reason. They're multi-million dollar race teams with the world's best engineers behind them. I assume they've got good reasons for it.

I am sure they have done testing to see which is better for their purposes. No doubt
