They use the same email to mail out advertising for their swag that they do for recalls?

I think so. As near as I can tell, they do.

I should make an email rule to forward them to the mechanics and then delete them from my system. That way I never see them.

And, damned right! You should avoid buying a new Ferrari because of this. I support your boycott - but I'm not gonna boycott 'em myself. Well, I might - 'snot like I'm planning on buying anything new from them.

I don't see me buying a new Ferrari any time soon. But, man, they're awesome cars. They're unbelievable, astonishing, amazing, absurd, feats of engineering. And more... Adjectives for days...
