2017 does seem like a long time ago. A lot of things have happened in the last 5 years

That's half of a fucking decade...

Many websites don't even last that long.

We haven't even missed a single Friday (once it went weekly).

In that time, I've had major life-altering events - from a wreck to a marriage to a granddaughter. You? You too have had all sorts of changes in your life since then.

Way back when, I sure as fuck didn't think this would still be going on five years down the road.

Hell, your children were five years younger. Your car was five years newer.

Five years ago, I wasn't even 60 years old. I mostly drove just a Porsche and a Ford F250, depending on the weather. I'd sometimes pull something out of my collection, but my collection was just 24 vehicles - counting snowmobiles, four wheelers, a bike, and a tractor.
