That's a real good finger picking tune. It's one of those songs that is hard to stop trying to get it right. Toe tapper too. They call it Travis Picking.
Saw your banjo post. I good banjo song (instrumental) is Washington Square by The Village Stompers. Starts out Banjo & Guitar then goes in Dixieland Jazz. Unique type of song.
I have heard of travis picking somewhere along the way but I am not sure just what it is
It's country bluegrass kinda stuff. Merle Travis invented it. Chet Atkins made it more mainstream. He's (Chet) like the main man of guitar.
It's like you're playing percussion, bass, and the melody at the same time. Very bouncy stuff.
I don't mess with it much. It sure is rhythmic.
