I find if you do something stoned in practice, you can usually pull it off professionally - to some extent.

After all, if I can do math while high as balls I can not only do it sober I can probably do alright when high as balls!

Yeah I find that I can play anything without fucking up too bad except forgetting parts or lyrics

Audiences have surprisingly little patience considering how drunk they usually are.

But, by the same token, I've been completely sober and forgot some lyrics. That's why these days I drill it into me so hard that I can't forget.

If I get a lyric slightly wrong, nobody notices. But, I don't even do that these days. Everything I perform is drilled into my muscle memory, even if I have to play the entire thing hundreds of times.

Yeah that's the only way to do it right. Play it a thousand times, then you won't even have to think
