I'm starting a new project, learning how cheap you can get into the game.

I can say, with some authority, that you can buy a playable Les Paul style guitar for under $200.

Got recording? Also how well did the one ypu bought turn out after having it setup?

Nah, I mostly just use the new guitar for "learning" fundamentals. I haven't even played a full song on it. I do chord progressions, scales, and stretches.
