my buddy that gave them to me said to leave them there so people could look through them if they got bored while i was jamming but that's never happened, they have not been touched besides by me

They have a limited appeal. Anyone who is interested in them wouldn't be just sitting there while you jam. They'd be doing something more than reading a magazine. If they were into a guitar magazine, they'd probably be playing and not reading.

yeah, unless maybe someone wants to sing along and the lyrics are in there

That'd probably do the trick. It may be easier to bring the lyrics up on a screen somewhere, I'd imagine.
