Once again, it's time for the FNGT!

If you don't know how this works, click this link (fngt.gq). That link will take you to another site to give you some additional information and tell you about some of our off-site features. That's also the site where we will host the weekly guitar threads, should Poal go down.

NOTE: That site is by invitation only. If you want an invite, and you're a regular participant, then just ask Crazy, or myself.

If you do know what's going on, you probably don't need to click that link - but you may want to, to make sure you know of the other features, such as the archive or a separate forum that's invite only.

Remember, we are guests here on Poal. Let's act like it. If you're interested in supporting Poal, then you can donate.

Wow, I fucking suck at hitting the Send Comment button today...

Well, you're not wrong. Plus, I'm pretty sure I can decide in a matter of minutes if the guitar is actually any good.

But, I want to experience it as though I'm a completely new guitar player who's looking to dip a toe in the water to see if the guitar is the instrument for me. So, I want to start with basic scales and playability tests after setting the guitar up.

I've set a fairly hard limit at $300. (I'll give myself a 10% cushion.)

For that, I should be able to buy a guitar, buy an amp, buy spare strings, get picks, etc...

I'm even getting a chord bible book - with the first order as that'd be what a new guitar student would want.

I actually have an Amazon cart full of items, but the tax is gonna make it more than $300.

To be a true beginner you will need to play with it for a couple of hours then leave it in the closet for years LoL

I intend to be a 'committed' beginner.

It probably helps that I know what to look for. I've been able to find some pretty sweet deals on stuff that at least looks usable on paper.

This will be my 'first' guitar:

Looks like a Les Paul!

I am sure they use cheap as hell tuners and other hardware
