Fortunately, it's a pretty giant bed. It's a king-size, I'm pretty sure. It might be 'Alaska King', but I haven't measured it. I think it's Montana King that's the largest? This one is pretty close to that.

Anyhow, I was pretty close to the edge of the bed - so that I could type on the laptop that sits on the night stand. However, it was like a half of a beer - maybe even more. Normally, a beer sits on the bed just fine, but I moved and slid the sheet with me. This meant a bunch of beer spilled, probably making 3' of the bed useless. (A good chunk of it.)

I covered it with towels and soaked up what I could. It's still damp but I put new towels down and got new bedding.

Couldn't you just have called a maid to come take care of that?

Yeah. I'm not gonna, however. I did have housekeeping bring extra towels.

There's no 'fixing' it, except to wait for it to try, try to dry it with a hair dryer, or swapping it with another room.

So, it's my mess and my fault, I'll live with the penalty.

There's a saying about sleeping in the bed you made.....
