It's the Bible. There are verses for and against it. It's a rather inconsistent book and can be interpreted to say most anything you want it to say. That's one of the reasons I can't possibly be a Christian. I can't be a Christian because I've read the Bible.

I believe it also is the origin of the saying, "Eat, drink, and be merry, for tomorrow we die!"
