I do some originals, but mostly I just do covers. The band does no originals. I already have a tone in mind before I start, even if it's composition. So, then I just aim for that.

gnarly. what all you use to make tones of such? harmonist compressor? phaser maybe

You'd have want to ask that back while it was fresh in my memory. I do a lot with echo, chorus, and reverb - with some compression.

Have alot of metal amp models on my pedal board to experiment with. I have learned effect sound lvls make a big difference and with delays chorus and such a little does alot for tone
