I would expect it to be a thrill and put you plastered to your seat back

Damned right. In my experience, they handle really well - but handle so much better once you get going fast enough for the aero to kick in.

They had better handle really well with all the power they are equipped with!

Meh... We used to have muscle cars with like 450 HP and they handled like shit. Many of them didn't even handle well for their generation.
