Yup. I know. I have a calendar! ;-)

It'll be a bit longer as I have some shit to get squared away before we hop on an early morning plane. I have some family shit to attend to and I need to make sure that's gonna work before I take off.

But, I can get my hunting out of the way. I just need to spend a couple of hours with the bow to make sure my aim is on. I should be good to go after that. Getting it out of the way early will make it more convenient.

Sadly, I did not get a moose permit this year. So, I will not be moose hunting.

Bow hunting is much more comfortable, weather wise, anyways.

Too bad about the moose permit. Do you have a huge mounted moose head somewhere in your house?

No, I don't take trophies. I give that stuff away. Some of it goes to the people who process the deer (they can sell heads easily) and some of the other stuff goes to a dude that does bone carving. The hide goes to someone that processes it and makes stuff like clothing.

I'm not into trophies. I hunt to eat what I hunted. I don't care if others use my stuff as trophies/trinkets to sell to tourists. I just don't care for them.

I do have a bearskin blanket and I have quite a few things made from the dude that processes the skins. I don't consider those trophies, those are actual useful things.

Thats cool. I was thinking maybe you'd be like an uncle I have who is a bug game hunter and he has a big moose head in a bar he has at his house. Along with deer and fish and other mounted animals. He likes the trophies. I don't have anything like that myself.
