The police were like a half a mile behind them when they pulled in and bailed. They caught two people in the back yard. They were banging on the door so I think they must have seen someone come in. I didn't talk to the cops. I let my son deal with them.

I'm surprised they didn't want to search your house to see if he'd dropped something illegal in there - like drugs. They might have even had probable cause to do so, or at least wouldn't have had a hard time claiming so to a DA. So, that's pretty awesome that they didn't.

I'm still disappointed about the Bimmer.

That reminds me, I was going to go walk around the yard looking for bags that might have got thrown but I forgot.

I think it was a 2019 3 Series Sport, I'm pretty sure.

Apparently that guy has three other cases pending of driving as fast as he can. Idiot

I'll pay his bail (up to 5k) and impound/storage fees in exchange for the car.

Well, he's probably got a lien against it, so the bank probably still partially owns it. But, if it's paid off, and he calls...

Why yes, yes I would/will take advantage of stupid people who get their lives fucked up by their own doing. I own multiple guitars/amps from people who managed to fuck their lives up bad enough to be facing long jail sentences.
