Once again, it's time for the FNGT!

If you don't know how this works, click this link (fngt.gq). That link will take you to another site to give you some additional information and tell you about some of our off-site features. That's also the site where we will host the weekly guitar threads, should Poal go down.

NOTE: That site is by invitation only. If you want an invite, and you're a regular participant, then just ask COF, Crazy, or myself.

If you do know what's going on, you probably don't need to click that link - but you may want to, to make sure you know of the other features, such as the archive or a separate forum that's invite only.

Remember, we are guests here on Poal. Let's act like it. If you're interested in supporting Poal, then you can donate.

Some 20 years ago, my bandmate and I were in a pawn shop in Tacoma. The owner recognized us and we started talking about all things music. After a while he said, "Check this out." He opened his safe where he had a receipt book. He flipped through it and showed us a signed receipt where Cobain had purchased some equipment there. He said, "That's my retirement."

LOL Dunno if it's worth all that much, but I am entirely unsurprised to find out that he bought gear at a pawn shop. I'm not even a wee bit surprised.

I don't know how many autographs he passed out during his lifetime, but I think his personal beliefs (as well as his persona) limited that, so maybe not many.

And from what I've learned from ebay, it just take two idiots with a lot of money that both want it.

I would be surprised to see any signatures go above 40k. Maybe as he was buying some gear, it might go for 60k? Maybe, on a good day - with good provenance?

I'm not sure how many folks can retire on that kinda money.

One of his guitars did hit a record, a whopping 6 mil and change.
