Yeah, a job is important for buying guitars. They frown on it if you don't give them money in exchange.

My local music store is pretty awesome. It's tiny, but the dude's awesome. He gives me great prices when I do things like order strings in bulk or buy a guitar through him.

I'm not sure how long local music stores are going to exist.
