I also just avoid a whole lot of subs. I'm pretty fucking lenient, but I'm not going to get berated for not calling someone Flir as their pronoun when they're identifying as a pan-sexual dragonkin. I'm just going to ignore them. So, I see no sense in getting involved in the first place.

I just refuse to engage. You can't reason someone out of a position they didn't reason themselves into.

Contrary to popular opinion, I am not actually required to respect someone by default. Respect is earned. They think they're entitled to my respect. I don't give two shits what they identify as, I give two shits that they demand my respect. You don't demand my respect, you fucking earn it.

So, I don't bother. I just skip those subs. I don't discuss religion, politics, or sexuality. Of course, more folks should probably consider not discussing those things because chances are they're fucking morons with moronic conclusions and moronic expectations.
