The sturgeon definitely looks prehistoric. They used to get really, really huge - but you surely knew that already.

There's a neat show that you might want to pirate someday, it's called "River Monsters".

How big did they used to get?

20+ feet, 3k+ pounds, depending on the sub-species. Over-fishing means they're no longer as big as they used to.

Fish can live for an amazingly long time.

I've always thought they haven't changed for millions of years
