Yup. They weigh just a few pounds, so spinning up that mass (and slowing down the same) is much easier/faster.

I do not yet own anything with CF wheels.

I may well have to just order a goddamned Koenigsegg. It means liquidating some assets that perform well enough to have not already have been moved. It'd go great in my collection.
