My attempt to quit smoking is likely futile.

They recalled Chantix, so I don't know if I'll get a 2nd prescription.

I'll have to wait until it's back on the market again, which could be a little while. They're not giving a time frame for resuming production and distribution.

The thing is, it is recalled because it contains a cancer causing agent. That cancer causing agent is 10x less likely to cause cancer than smoking. So, it's a trivially small chance of causing cancer. I'd accept that risk, but they won't let me.

The gorgeous woman sitting next to me here says she's got a couple of bottles of chantix that's not being used

Sadly, it's a prescription drug - so still a felony if she transfers it.

If we weren't on a public site and it didn't have to get sent by mail to my address, I'd consider taking the risk!
