So long as you never state that you're a cop you should be just fine, but yeah they'll probably arrest you.

Now, if you put on that shirt and then drive a retired police car and knock on doors asking questions - that's possibly gonna see you getting charged as impersonating a police officer.

I think I could probably get away with one that says SECURITY. I don't think there are any laws against impersonating security

Oh, you can definitely get away with that - so long as you have confidence. You gotta have the confidence to pull it off. Don't skulk around, walk up to the door and open it like you're supposed to.
