Plane crash, late 90s. I wanna say it was in the Rocky Mountains, 'cause there were a lot of jokes about being Rocky Mountain High.

I'm pretty sure it was a plane accident. I want to say 1997 or 1998.

it must have been someone else similar to him or around that time that died in a skiing crash that I confused with him in my memory
