What is a car event?

Just some car guys going to a parking lot at a diner. I guess they go pretty much every Saturday morning. Some of them then go off and do autocross, but it's nothing very organized.

Like a "Cars and Coffee" event. The diner is happy to have us in their parking lot and buying food from them. We attract a bunch of people and that means increased business for them. A few times during the year (so I am given to understand) they give out awards and stuff like that, but it's mostly an informal gathering.

I'm not really sure - 'cause I have yet to go to one. R8 guy invited me. If it's warm enough, I'll take the 'Vette.

Speaking of which, I should go to bed early on Friday night. Well, early enough to get up early and be ready to head out. I guess they start showing up around 'late breakfast, early brunch' time. Someone else should open the thread.
