Once again, it's time for the FNGT!

If you don't know how this works, click this link (fngt.gq). That link will take you to another site to give you some additional information and tell you about some of our off-site features. That's also the site where we will host the weekly guitar threads, should Poal go down.

NOTE: That site is by invitation only. If you want an invite, and you're a regular participant, then just ask COF, Crazy, or myself.

If you do know what's going on, you probably don't need to click that link - but you may want to, to make sure you know of the other features, such as the archive or a separate forum that's invite only.

I did this a while back when I had my drummers spare practice kit set up at my house, so I took full advantage haha. It’s at a different rehearsal space now, so I’ve been messing with programming drums a little bit more recently.

My setup is pretty simple really. I’ve got a 24 channel Soundcraft desk with some presonus A/D converters, and a Universal Audio Apollo interface. I’ve got a ton of mics, guitars, cabs, tube amps, instruments in general, and a few cool mic preamps and Neve channel strips out of an old VR console. I typically mic cabs in my basement, and do my tracking in my spare room which has basic sound treatment and my mixing desk. I use Yamaha HS8 monitors and Beyerdynamic T1’s for mixing. Other than that, I use Reaper (also have Logic and Harrison Mixbus) into an old ‘12 MacBook Pro I upgraded; and have spent a lot of time over the last 2.5 years studying audio production trying to get decent at recording and mixing.
