We got here because people lacked spiritual and moral conviction. When the loonie left brought forth its latest absurdity, nobody said "no" to it, nobody rejected it, nobody laughed it out of existence.
We lack spiritual and moral conviction because we stopped believing in God and going to church. Without religion you cannot have a moral or spritual foundation in your life. It's not possible. Secular things don't give you this foundation. And without this foundation you are weak, and easy prey for crazy ideas, because you are unsure of what you believe and what you know to be true.
Take away religion, and you take away certainty. Take away certainty, and you take away strength and courage.
There's no certainty in religion. That's retarded. We've gotten there because there's been a complete abandonment of intellectual battle.
