This is exactly the problem with "renewable" energy and electric devices: to most people, it's magic. Since politicians are essentially idiots, they repeat talking points of who ever donates the most money. So the renewable energy sector will push lies and half truths to bolster their interests. People suck this shit up and you get a vicious cycle of hopium and myths. Question it and you're an enemy of global warming and environmental activism. Personally, I laugh at it all. Solar panels is my favorite. I love it when the electrical grid goes offline and people who bought solar panels are shocked their investment stops working. Oops! Oh, Big Solar forgot to tell you, you need special inverters with large battery banks and chargers? Huh. Imagine that. I guess that magic solar power requires infrastructure that's a little more expensive than they sold you. Oh, that expensive Tesla you bought is only as green as the power you supply. Oh, that green wind power you pay extra for? LOL, it travels on the same power lines as all power does, but you pay a trading company a premium for your virtue signaling.
