A misnomer is: a misapplied or inappropriate name or designation. Voters can be both legal and illegal. Suppression of legal votes is disingenuous at best. Suppression of illegal votes is legal, admirable and upstanding. To mislabel the control of illegal voting as voting suppression is dishonorable and unprincipled. Political leaders, for example Nancy Pelosi, are employing the term voter suppression in an unethical manner. To suppress illegal votes is admirable. As you know, the repression of legal voters is improper and depraved. Those in leadership roles need to employ appropriate terms so as to not mislead their followers. Leaders should be held responsible for their misdeeds including their use of inappropriate terms including misleading terms. Leaders employ their methods typically for personal or political power. By containing the leaders through keeping them responsible, the public and the followers can maintain their personal power which is their right.
