I get 7-8 fillets, cut from a fresh loin, 1.5" thick, for right at $60 bucks. Local butcher. It's not prime, but its as good as all the prime I have had, sans one place in San Antonio years ago. I have put these steaks against all commers and everyone agrees they are excellent, and when I tell them the price, they start using the local butcher.

But yeah, meat comes from stores.....not some shop thats called a butcher.

Local butcher all the way. Better meat and it's cheaper.
